Transition Year

“Idirbhliain”

This programme provides a bridge to enable students make the transition for Junior to Senior Cycle. It encourages personal and social development and recognises the need for students to grow in independence. Virginia College has devised a Transition Year programme to cater for the specific needs of their students. This means that they are given the opportunity to experience a wide range of educational programmes and to sample new subjects. Work experience is an integral part of the Transition Year programme which is spread across four weeks of the school year.
